Axalta Showcases Energy Solutions Portfolio for Sustainable Industrial Insulation at CWIEME 2017
Shanghai, China, March 15, 2017 – Axalta Coating Systems, a leading global supplier of liquid and powder coatings, is showcasing its range of sustainable Energy Solutions products at 2017 Coil Winding, Insulation and Electrical Manufacturing Exhibition (CWIEME) opening on March 15-17, 2017, one of the largest and most influential exhibitions in the world for the coils, winding, insulation and electrical sector.
Axalta’s Energy Solutions provides impregnating resins, wire enamels and electric steel coatings for miniaturized electronic components, and is the producer of famous brands such as Voltatex®, Voltron®, and Voltahyd®. The products are state of the art technologies for the electrical insulation of modern electric motors, generators and transformers. A series of new products and applications will be displayed at Axalta booth D23 in Hall 2 of the Shanghai World Expo Exhibition and Convention Center.
“The solutions on display demonstrate the energy-saving value we offer our customers. These are the result of over 70 years of innovation and dedication in placing sustainability and customers as our topmost,” said Michael Glomp, Vice President of Global Specialty Coatings at Axalta. “China is not only one of the fastest growing markets for Axalta’s Energy Solutions business, but also a key center for Axalta’s innovation and development of products of our Voltatex and Voltron families, as well as the recently range of water-borne insulating varnishes branded Voltahyd. Axalta takes great pride in presenting our China-originated innovation at a prestigious show like CWIEME.”
Axalta’s Energy Solutions brands are globally recognized and leading technologies for the electrical insulation of new energy automobiles, wind generators, small and mid-sized motors and transformers, flat wire and electric tools. The developments target improvements in energy efficiency, environmental, health and safety.
The Voltatex and Voltron wire enamels help to reduce costs, increase longer lifespan of magnet wires, provide highest heat-resistance and mechanical stability, excellent adhesion to copper and alloy wires and superior resistance to transformer oil due to the products compositions and manufacturing processes.
Axalta’s Voltatex impregnating resins can turn random as well as form wound coils into a homogenous and mechanically very stable unit. The resins offer excellent protection to withstand a wide variety of environmental factors as well as excellent heat transfer between wire windings, slot insulation and iron core. The Voltahyd waterborne impregnating varnishes are ideal for compressor motors, motors, transformers and electric reactors because of their outstanding electrical insulation, increased mechanical function, strengthened weather-proof protection and increased heat dissipation.
The Voltatex electrical steel coatings line offers excellent adhesion and highly elastic coatings which improve punching and corrosion protection for the products they are applied on. As a result, the range extends the performance of life and reduces the cost of the punching tools, and consequently the costs for electric motors, as well as generators.
Detailed information on these sustainable energy solutions can be found at Axalta’s booth at D23, Hall 2.
