Softicated - Geneva, Switzerland

But it is something being addressed by Softicated, a new Geneva-based brand founded by Cyril Rumpler in 2020, which is producing a range of luxurious lighting, rugs and contemporary furniture designed with the specific intention “to promote feelings of happiness” in the user. Recognising the now undisputed links between wellbeing and connections to nature, Softicated combines the notions of “sophisticated’ with a gentle “softness”, fusing the two to create its name and the vision that drives its products. Each product or collection has a narrative of its own.

Residential building Kings Cross - London, United Kingdom

Ensor Tower I - Ostend, Belgium

The Ensor Tower I at the Oosteroever site – the first of two residential towers of the same name – gives Oostende a new iconic landmark. The residential tower – designed by El Architects and the Versluys Group – is part of a new trendy urban district in the historic harbour area. The aluminium facade cassettes and rounded corners, finished in a powder coating – Lunar Chrome – developed by Axalta especially for this project, lend the site international prestige.

It’s important that materials, furniture and finishes are environmentally friendly, so that they do not negatively affect the health of staff, visitors and – above all – patients. These considerations were taken into account by GN Architects, when they were commissioned to design the 270,000 sqm Shanghai Jingxian Nursing Home.

875 Chesterfield Pkwy W - Chesterfield, United States

The new 875 Chesterfield Pkwy W in Chesterfield, Missouri, stands as a stunning example of contemporary architecture and engineering. The state-of-the-art facility was designed by Lamar Johnson Collaborative, one of the leading architecture and engineering firms in the world and developed by CRG. It was constructed by Clayco, a premier general contractor known for its innovative and sustainable building solutions. The façade of the building was created by Ventana, a leading contractor in the design, engineering, and installation of high-performance façade systems.

Cityhall - Beringen, Belgium

From closed school site to open city hall. This describes in a nutshell the story of the new Administrative Centre in the city of Beringen in Belgium. The iconic facade and chapel wing of the former school have been preserved, while the light and airy glass architecture of the newly built section reflects the surroundings and emphasises the public space. The powder-coated exterior joinery with an anodised look enhances the dynamic interplay of light and shadow on the facade. The architects chose a high-quality powder coating from The SuprAnodic Collection from Axalta Coating Systems. 

Budget Hotel - Barcelona, Spain

A budget hotel gets the five-star treatment, courtesy of Corada Figueras. An international chain of one-star hotels has gone for a dynamic impact for its Spanish debut, with a gold-coated facade.

These two buildings, each with its own unique architecture, form one large campus thanks to walkways that connect the buildings to each other. 

Pirelli 35 - Milan, Italy / Odense hospital - Odense, Denmark

Axalta collaborated with Italian-based metal construction experts MTS to develop customised coating solutions for two landmark projects: Pirelli 35 in Italy and the Odense Hospital in Denmark.

Located in Lyon’s 7th district, this office building of 11,000 m² is in a privileged urban location.

CODE by BT Group - Italy

BT Group, a luxury pergola company in Italy, has chosen to use Axalta powder coatings to give their products a high-quality and durable finish. In 2021, BT Group changed most of their standard colours to Axalta colours, which increased their sales by up to 300%. The company also uses Axalta’s colour selector in their showroom, which has 490 colours, to offer architects, designers, and homeowners a wide range of options to customise their pergola solutions.

Guoco Changfeng City - Shanghai, China

Guoco Changfeng City is a large-scale mixed-use development project located in the Changfeng Eco Business District of Shanghai’s Putuo Area. The project comprises two 18-storey office towers, two lower-rise corporate office buildings, a cultural industries building, and a cultural and entertainment center. The development is strategically located, with excellent connectivity through the Shanghai North Cross Passage expressway and the upcoming metro station of Shanghai’s Metro Line 1.

Polyclinic - Milan, Italy

The New Polyclinic in Milan by Stefano Boeri Architects (2018) is important, not just for its patients, doctors and nurses, but for the city as a whole. It is one of Milan’s main hospitals, situated in the historic centre – a building designed to connect to history and the wider community. And with all its modern technology and healing methods, it is also a building in touch with nature. Integration is key; and so is harmony, which finds expression in a colour palette of greys, white and greens.
